Ran this mostly well manicured dirt road on Friday 5/22. it's not much in the way of a trail, except for the out n' back section, which was so over grown, we had to just watch the GPS lines to make sure we were staying on trail. speaking of the out n' back section, half way up we encountered shepherds with their flock that was completely covering the trail. The shepherds came out and moved the flock out of our way. It was a really cool touch that made the trip worth while, especially with two rigs loaded with kids. To make the trek a little more exciting, we adventures down some of the smaller side trails just to see what was out there. All in all, while there was no real challenge to the highlighted trail, we had a blast just adventuring, and ultimately that is what this is all about!

this Trail should be fine for a stock four-wheel drive. also is good for dirt bikes although there is no single track. a few rocks here and there but beautiful scenery make up for it. lots and lots of trails to choose from. we will be back

May 1st was a little too early. Lots of water to cross on the path we took trying to get to the springs

We went south to north. It’s mostly like a fire road. However there are off shoots you can explore that are truly trails. We went down one that led to a beautiful marsh. Another was a rocky trail to a campfire spot. We also spotted heavily modified Jeepers coming off another off shoot - so we’re guessing they found a fun trail too! We’ll be back to explore other off shoots in the future.

I have been in there multiple times. Very rough road. takes about 45 minutes to get to east Carson river and hot springs. It is a five mile drive. you can exit to the north on a different route. Not good for someone who loves their vehicle, scratches will happen in the brush. Vehicle with clearance can make it, 4x4 when required in spring and early summer for water crossings. I highly recommend airing down your tires, I have taken chunks out of mine on this trail. I give it a 5 out of 10 on difficulty.

it's a little rough around the edges but totally doable.. Just make sure to have back up when going out there and also a spare tire. Not saying I got a flat but just to be safe.
