it's a very maintained and well traveled trail. we did the 7.4 miles and it isn't difficult at all, it's on the edge overlooking the Lake Clementine but never on an edge. we only hiked it, not biked. bikers were every respectful and kind. there were a few views but nothing extraordinary. it will make a perfect running trail. my dog was the only one we saw. one jogger and the rest were bikes. trail sits just below the road to Forest Hill but you don't hear the road the whole time, not a lot of cars. it was a great jogging trail cuz not a lot of hills, it is a very gradual up and down hills that all levels should be able to handle. in the summer it could be too hot but it's mostly in the share unless the sun is high in the sky

RAD trail!!! Especially on the way back you get some good downhill action. It is auburn so you’ll have to work for it on some of these uphills but so worth it! Have fun!!!

Great discovery. Added bonus was extra “eye candy” on the trail between the mountain bikers and pleasant park employees clearing trail! What’s up?! Everyone so fit and attractive!!

Hiked the trail today, very well shaded for the most part, lots of mosquitos. Would say this is moderate at best. Saw no other hikers and one trail runner and lots of MTB riders, all very polite. Noticed a memorial for a young lady on the side of the trail, about half way through..was curious about that, what happened, haven’t seen that mentioned in any review. Overall, nice quiet, hike.

Pretty trail but definitely more for bikers! They were all polite and gave us heads up when there us when there were more bikers behind them. There was one guy running the trail but other then that we were the only ones hiking. Even though it’s mid January there were lots of ticks ready to latch on, luckily we noticed them on my dog right away before they attached. That being said, don’t stray off the path at all into the grass

This trail was a pretty nice trail to hike on. But be aware that it is much more popular for bikers, so you need to be paying attention with your eyes and ears open for them. For the most part, they were all super polite and announced themselves, allowing us enough time to get out of the way. We only ran into one other hiker the whole time. We started around 9 am, and the shade -> sun ratio on the way out was about 80 -> 20, but on our way back, it was more like 60 -> 40. Beautiful manzanitas and pretty awesome views of Clementine Lake! Keep your eye out for a bench (on your left on the way out), it's a perfect spot for a water break/snack break and has a great view of the lake. I would say it was a pretty good balance of ups and downs, but definitely a moderate to maybe even a little on the hard side for an average hiker. If you are trained up for the hills you should have no problems. I would definitely do this hike again. :] Bring lots of water, as always! There is a cut out to park at right by the trailhead.
