This trail was a pretty nice trail to hike on. But be aware that it is much more popular for bikers, so you need to be paying attention with your eyes and ears open for them. For the most part, they were all super polite and announced themselves, allowing us enough time to get out of the way. We only ran into one other hiker the whole time. We started around 9 am, and the shade -> sun ratio on the way out was about 80 -> 20, but on our way back, it was more like 60 -> 40. Beautiful manzanitas and pretty awesome views of Clementine Lake! Keep your eye out for a bench (on your left on the way out), it's a perfect spot for a water break/snack break and has a great view of the lake. I would say it was a pretty good balance of ups and downs, but definitely a moderate to maybe even a little on the hard side for an average hiker. If you are trained up for the hills you should have no problems. I would definitely do this hike again. :] Bring lots of water, as always! There is a cut out to park at right by the trailhead.
