This is a beautiful walk in the oak forest and around the lake. The trail is a road that can be quite muddy after rains. If you ask for directions through Google Maps you will be sent down a road behind a locked gate on a private road. There is room to park at the locked gate and it is an easy, 0.7 mile walk to what is given as the trailhead by AllTrails. Perhaps a better choice would be to park at the Shakota Trail (South End) parking and walking across the dam.
