I use this trail as a baseline for measuring my progress when I walk and want a bit of altitude practice thrown in. It's very easy, but a pleasant change from my hike in the flatlands. Definitely park on the street so you don't have to pay a big parking fee.
You can walk right on the soft dirt path close to the lake or go around via the sidewalk by the street that circles the area. If you use the sidewalk it increases your mileage.
There is some construction going on at the south shore but it doesn't interfere much...a pretty clear temporary path will get you around that end.
There are good sandwiches or water bottles to purchase at Goodwins, a market on the west end of the lake.

super mellow. circles around the lake. not really any hills or things to worry about. lots of people so not a walk if you want some peace or solitude.

Easy, short walk/hike around the small lake, with decent bathrooms, a dog park and fitness stations. Would do it again, but would park on the street instead of paying $10 for the parking lot. Dog friendly:)
