We enjoyed this loop walk. It is mostly on dirt and provides a lot of shade which was great on a warm day. Pretty views of the lake and you can walk right up to the lake from the trail. We only encountered a couple other people walking it, so we pretty much had it to ourselves. Lots of people fishing along the lake. Great start to our vacation, we walked from our cabin.

Walked Lake Gregory a few times. Pretty lake. Very easy walk and has some shade. There is a grocery store called Goodwins right by the lake that has great deli sandwiches that you can pick up and eat while viewing the lake.

nice run but when we went the water was very low leading to a bad odor 1/4 of the way around. nice single path trail though which was very nice. there's a path that's right on the road and then a lower path that is nearer to the water. the path by the water is obviously much better and less trafficked. some portions of the trail force you up to the path on the road though so be warned.

Beautiful, scenic hike. There are paid parking lots but there is a small parking lot next to the chamber of commerce which offers free parking. The trail can be accessed at that area near the picnic tables.

Lovely walk around the lake. The trail is mostly dirt or gravel and mostly tucked away, with a few paved sections. Shady and lots of opportunity to get down to the shoreline.

If your close by, and want a little stretch/stroll, this is your best bet. Seems like a lot of locals walk the lake. Most parking is paid parking ($8-9). Looks like free parking in at least one spot (see track). The lake is swimmable, and again it appears a lot of locals hang out there. Looks good for kids. Lots of Toys, and activity structures in the water, and seems safe for kids (complete with life guards). Again, you pay for entrance. There is a par course in some of the areas.

Nice easy loop, but under construction when we went. Parking is $10 for the day in the public lots, but you can find other places along the road to park. Pretty crowded, so it’s not the cleanest of places. There is a bathroom along the loop, and bins for trash/recyclables at several points so not the place to go if you’re looking to get lost in the woods.

This is a wonderful, easy trail to walk. You have a lot of gorgeous scenery and views. I like walking this trail with my dogs several times a week, I have always felt safe so I don’t mind going without my husband. You can park along the road in certain spots or pay to park in the lots. There is also a dog park with a small dog section and a drinking fountain bowl for dogs. I like to stop in there to allow my dogs to roam off leash for a while. There are plenty of trash and recycle bins along the trail so there’s no excuse to leave any thing behind. Also some exercise stations through out and a bathroom on the north west (I believe) part of the lake.

Loved it, they charge for parking. Everyone is very friendly. I saw no dog poop or trash. Just beauty everywhere

Nice short hike! Lots of beautiful shade. You do have to walk on the sidewalk/parking lot for a bit but not too much.

We couldn't figure out how to stay on the trail because there are fences in the way. I wouldn't go back, most the trail was street.

This is a pretty walk on trails along the lake shore and road. Locals are friendly. Feels somewhat more like a city hike than a mountain hike unfortunately. Lots of construction in town in spring 2018.

I’ve done this trail numerous times. It’s always a pleasure. Great for walking the dog or taking a jog.

The best and most beautiful running, hiking, and biking trail on the mountain! Have put in 100's of miles training on this trail. You'll love it! Enjoy!!

I use this trail as a baseline for measuring my progress when I walk and want a bit of altitude practice thrown in. It's very easy, but a pleasant change from my hike in the flatlands. Definitely park on the street so you don't have to pay a big parking fee.
You can walk right on the soft dirt path close to the lake or go around via the sidewalk by the street that circles the area. If you use the sidewalk it increases your mileage.
There is some construction going on at the south shore but it doesn't interfere much...a pretty clear temporary path will get you around that end.
There are good sandwiches or water bottles to purchase at Goodwins, a market on the west end of the lake.

Easy, short walk/hike around the small lake, with decent bathrooms, a dog park and fitness stations. Would do it again, but would park on the street instead of paying $10 for the parking lot. Dog friendly:)
