Wouldn't recommend this trail to anyone wanting to enjoy a beautiful walk. Unfortunately it is not kept up with. Tons of weeds, old branches scratching you as you walk, and just not very clean. Plus, once you reach any view of the lake, it just looks swampy and unattractive. I'm sure if it was maintained, it would be a bit nicer, but since Jedidiah Redwoods is so close, I'd recommend to just go there.

Passed by the trailhead for years but yesterday I decided to do it... It starts out dry and a bit ugly along a fence line but turns into a nice forested little trail. It has a couple of places with nice views of Lake Earl. The trail is a little overgrown towards the back and obviously isn't used much but easily negotiated. It could use a few volunteers with some cutters and I could be one of them...
