Dogs on leash in developed areas/under voice command in undeveloped areas of the park. You can avoid a large portion of the paved East Shore Trail by taking the southern Cameron Loop after crossing the Honker Bay bridge, Ten Hills Trail, and Indian Cove Trail leaving a very short paved section to the Marina

Great trail. Good views. A nice balance of hills and flats:

Not full loop; from marina did just a 3.5 mi out and back, to just past the dam. Great hike when time is more limited. Beautiful views and not crowded on a Monday afternoon.

It’s actually 9.1 miles if you do the full loop. Easy paved trail.

My favorite trail for running in the bay and training for half marathons. Gentle rolling hills that still challenge you throughout. I drive a ways to run here but it’s worth it.

Nice hike, it’s gets prettier after passing the paved section as it becomes more scenic with nature and you get better views of the lake as well.

Loop around the lake is long 8+ miles. And it’s got some elevation so it isn’t a stroll in the park. Really good workout. Half of the Trail is paved and wide. The other half is through a forested canyon and the trails narrow to a barely 2 person width on dirt. Lots of forks/off shoots so I really had to use this app to keep from going off course. It saved me at least 3 different times. Jogged some of the flats and hiked any elevation. Got done in 3.25 hours. Nice nature viewing but very heavily trafficked Trail.

Went on a thursday around mid day and did not run into too many people. Really good hike if from the bay. Not a bad hike when it’s hot because quite a bit of the hike is shaded.

Great trail so close to an urban center. I started from the campground, going counterclockwise. Starts with a beautiful chaparral forest, some gradual switchbacks heading down to the lake. Then a couple of miles of paved trail, with day walkers who parked near the Marina. Then over a really cool suspension walking bridge, around the lake to the one big (600') ascent. I have hiked a lot of trails on this park, but never completed the full walk around the lake. I took 5 hours with a couple of breaks to enjoy the scenery. Make sure to bring water for the the voyage, since it's only accessible near the marina. And support our local, urban parks.

Love this trail, decided to go by myself for once nd completed it in 3 hours. For about 2 months straight my girlfriend and I did this hike every Saturday so we had to take a break from it but i still love this place and will continue to hike it!

This is a fun trailing would be good for kids. as long as they can either hike for a pretty long time or you make it an in and out. I don't know where all Trails got 8.2 miles but this is a solid 9 according to both the alltrails recorder and the trail signs. In addition, if it is a busy day you might want to add a mile round trip to hike from wherever you park your car down to the trailhead. the trail is pretty Walmart but there are some significant forks and you're going to want to be ready for those because the trail that is picked out on the map here is a link series of different trails around the lake. Also note that the water in the lake has several warning signs about not getting in it or even touching it because of the possibility of toxic algae. So this is not going to be a fun playing the lake type trip and you're going to have to bring everything you drink.

Super nice hike! It has bathrooms through out it too which makes it very convenient. The views are amazing. The day I went it was kinda windy around 70 degrees. Felt very nice! I recommend it.

Great hike .. moderate hike.. if u do it clockwise U will miss the the most challenging big climb up the hill which will be a decent then .. beautiful trail with Great Lake views.. about 3 1/2 to 4 hrs hike.. it is about 9.4 miles not 8.1 miles ...about 1 1/2 miles is fully paved in the beginning and the last 2 miles is fully paved too if u do it clockwise... did this hike twice ...End July 2018 and then again in Early May 2019..Beginners and moderate hikers can easily go it..lookout for bikers ( in 40% of the trail) and runners on weekends ..

great for stamina training, to keep a relatively fast walking pace throughout
