Kwaay Paay Peak Trail is a 2.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Santee, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Used for training for longer backpacking thru hikes. The medium sized loose gravel makes for a challenging climb coupled with the steep grade and requires a conscious footing on the decent to protect the knees with weight. Views are IMHO not comparable to nearby Cowells or the like. Worth the exercise or to connect to a different trail, but I wouldn't recommend seeking zen from the views you achieve.
The shortest of the 5 Mission Trail peaks, if you think it'll be an easy peasy trek...whooooey...guess again. I'm not saying this is the hardest trail out there but I certainly wasn't expecting what I got. Nice hike and the view was gorgeous
they really should have put switchbacks on this trail. it just goes straight up, with a few platforms to rest on. nice area and could have been a fun hike if it hadn't been such a pain.
Short but nice trail! Moderately challenging, well maintained.
Great work out and rewarding view at the top. We got a late start at 11am on a pretty warm October day - I will plan that better next time.
