No water at top of Mt Tam so bring extra. All drinking water is turned off due to e.coli levels. Meant to be fixed on June 30th but as of July 12th all taps were still turned off.

Exposed fire road, but also shaded at times. About 10 mi there and back. Awesome views!

Beautiful views from the top of East Peak! Mostly easy going hike, very exposed a lot of the way. The first 0.5mi is steep but there rest is an easy grade. Lots of loose rocks. Many bicyclists. Totally worth it. Also allows dogs!

Fairly long and heavy ascension. Keep on track. We took a right on the way back that was too early and ended up being a 10 mile hike. Heavy mountain bikes hauling ass. Watch your surroundings. Amazing views. Not much parking at base- very residential area at the base start and finish.

The first leg of this trail is difficult going up and sketchy coming down. There isn't any parking at the end of Evergreen, so there's a bit more hill than the AT recording. Otherwise, a little rocky and rough, but a nice workout and amazing views! Lots of bikes.

Great hike to the top of Mt Tam. First section is a little steep, the trail was pretty rocky/gravely, and there were a good number of bikes on Eldridge Grade, but the views along the way were beautiful and the views from the top of Mt Tam are always epic. I’d definitely recommend. The drive and parking along the side of the road were easy as well.

This is now one of my favorite hikes, the views on the way up are incredible, the hike itself isn’t that difficult other than rocks the entire trip. Very very private, only a few cyclists passed me near the top. Parking is a bit sketchy, the start of the trail is a bit steep so don’t get discouraged, the steepness ends quickly. If you like peaceful hiking this is the one for you There are a few shortcuts trails near the top, I definitely don’t advise you to take them, I tried and got cut up by brush and slipped on my back side

It’s definitely a better workout than most other moderate hikes on this app. It’s a lot of hills up and down with great views of the city, lush trees and a good of rhythm to elevation and walking down. Don’t believe there are any bathrooms (keep in mind). Most of it is not shaded and it gets pretty warm. The areas on the way down are somewhat challenging as it’s just the right angle/ enough rocks and pebbles to make it hard to walk/ easy to fall. But beautiful and good workout :)
