The park it's nice but the trail it's short. The best part: the view of downtown Los Angeles. If you want a park to walk and eat, this is fine, but if you have in mind hiking...not really!

Nice little lunch break hiking adventure in the middle of the city. Lovely panorama city scapes at the top of the mountain. Lots of wildflowers and lizards. Grasslands are dried out already though. Not much shade on most of the trail and overgrown in spots.

Had to turn around to get cash , $6 entry fee on weekends and holidays (for cars), more for other types of vehicles. Once we got in it was really nice. Follow path up steep hill adjacent to paved street and you’ll reach the loop. Loop has some nice views and you can go around multiple times. There is a Frisbee golf course up there also.

Really beautiful lately after all the rainfall.

This is a very nice and less talked about park in the West LA area (close to LAX!) I especially love the lake at the bottom of the hill. It was like my very own Central Park next door to me! There is also a beautiful stream w/ a small bridge next to the lake that is nice to relax at. Perfect area for picnics, bike riding, and duck gazing. Update: I explored this trail again and discovered a beautiful Japanese garden and pond. The perfect setting for taking some nice outdoor photos, laying out on the grass, or having some zen to yourself. - @justroc @just.trek

Pretty nice hike and it’s far enough removed from the city that you get a small taste of escape.

Although parking is a plus across the street, I wouldn't recommend hiking here at night. There are a ton of bugs and I left with like a dozen bites. My finger even started to swell and then my whole hand. I have no idea what bit me. It's a nice spot but again, bring insect repellant.
