A path down to Kehoe Beach. This is an excellent location for bird watching.

4 adults and four kids, every one of us loved the trail. It was the perfect length with a great reward of the ocean and large mountains outlining the beach. The only drawback was that half the hike was in the sand, but then again, we were hiking to the beach. Overall, I would highly recommend the hike! Plus, my buddy found what he thinks is a piece of petrified wood that he believes is at least 150k years old. He works for an insurance company, so not sure if that is accurate or not!

Great way to spend time on the coast with your pup! The short hike to the beach is easy and picturesque, and the beach has lots of room to walk. Would highly recommend it!

A lovely, quick walk down to a vast, windswept beach. Now is an excellent time to visit, as the flowers are just starting to bloom. There is a seasonal waterfall on the north side of the trail head.

It was a nice little hike out to the beach. Very beautiful and secluded out there. Part of it is in sand so just be aware.

Loved this spot. Not crowded and a nice hike to get to the beach. Just wish the drive was not so long to get there but the pluses outweigh the drive.

This was a perfect easy hike / walk for my family's first outing. The beach was beautiful and it was not crowded. The only complaint I have is the bathroom at the trail head. It was so disgusting that we could smell it before we ever got to it.

The point on the map takes you to johnstone trail and jepperson trails and there is no cell service. Bring a map. Kehoe beach is actually about a 13 minute drive from here.

Kehoe Beach Trail is an easy hike. One of the few trails north of Inverness in the Point Reyes National Seashore approved for biking, this trail descends gradually from the road to the ocean. There is a small fresh water lagoon to the south as you near a single bluff right before reaching the ocean. What makes this beach special are the grassy sand dunes between the beach and the small cliffs. Each sandy indentation offers a sense of solitude. For my group, which included three young kids, we played hide-and-seek among the tall grasses in and around the dunes.

This was an easy, beautiful trail that ends up on a gorgeous beach. It's dog friendly, however, I wouldn't recommend schlepping a lot of stuff if you are planning a day at the beach.
