Jurupa Hills North Trail is a 2.5 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Fontana, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Very steep hike best enjoyed in the cooler morning weather, offering great views of all inland empire: Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Rialto, Riverside, and more.
Very steep very difficult but manageable with sticks and good shoes. Beautiful views
Fun and a good workout, need to jog to keep up your pulse but overall fun
It’s a good workout...steep inclines but rewarding at the top. Dogs are allowed but owners DO NOT pickup their poop which makes the trail stinks with it. Just wish dog owners are more responsible when hiking this trail.
it was good took a while lotsa rocks and when u think you are done you aren't each time keeps going
Uphill is a good hike. Lots of big rocks to hike on. The top has a great view. Coming back down, if you are not well experienced, can be very difficult.
great trail. would definitely do early morning or late afternoon when the sun isn’t beating down. be careful not to descend to late to ensure time to make it back to your car. it is very uphill. there is a lot of people walking, but they all go their own way so social distancing is a plus. there are too many options to go up to be following each other.
Plenty of parking in the playground. You walk from the parking lot to a bit of the pavement and then the trail is going to be on your left. A steep dirt road going up. Parts of the trail are rocky so you’ll have scramble a bit over some medium sized rocks but it’s all doable. I would consider this a short hike but also somewhat of a workout because due the steepness so it does take a while to get to the top. I really liked the views at the peak of all the cities around and of the mountains at the distance. Totally recommended.
Definitely a challenge, the views from up top are amazing. Highly recommend this trail!
