Trail was a great length for the evening. Elevation change was just right for a workout and the views and sunset were perfect. Would definitely do this one again.

Nice short trail added to our Grand Loop hike. It was great weather and everything is still green and blooming.
Watch for poison Oak and tickets.
My tracks are weak due to my driod acting up.

This was an easy to moderate hike with some incline, but overall not too strenuous and accessible for most hikers and ability levels. There is parking at the trailhead, and the path is clearly marked. I’d recommend including a visit to the summit and visitor center once you’re up there. There is an observation deck that offers great views and a small museum. It was chilly and windy when I ascended mid April but much of the trail is in sun so it evened out temperature wise. Spring seemed like a nice time to do the climb as everything was very green and scenic. FYI there is a fee to enter Mt Diablo State Park so be prepared for that.

Good family day out. Two adults and a 5 year old with hiking experience. Distance was in our range, elevation gain could prove to be challenging for those that don't get out there as often as they like. About 4 hours total with brief stops for the view and lunch, plus the optional trek up to the summit. Recommend going up the north east route and finishing on the southwestern Juniper trail around sunset. Could be a very hot journey during summer. Unparalleled views of the Bay Area that provide perspective and regional orientation. If elevation gain and loss isn't a problem, this is absolutely worth the time and effort it takes to get to the trailhead.

very beautiful views, we didn't do the entire trail. if you have children and they aren't used to the inclines it may but a little more difficult for them. We just did the juniper, turned around and came back down.

Nice loop. Starts with the uphill and the rest is pretty easy.
