Scenic drivingGreat!

A nice break from hiking to see less visited parts of the park. Most of it is just graded dirt. In dry conditions 4WD is not necessary. As seasoned OHV people, I wouldn't classify this as an OHV trail. We didn't continue on to Berdoo Canyon which was supposed to be more technical (we were in a rental) but maybe that would have made it more exciting.

Scenic but not particularly unique or particularly fun to. Most of it is rattling bumps or sand till the eye of the needle. A bit far for not much view but maybe the points of interest explanations would have helped

Great scenic drive. Sandy and bumpy in places. 4WD not necessarily required but recommended.

Was able to complete without 4wd. Pretty sketchy in several sections though so would highly recommend 4wd especially if you don't have extra water/spare tires

This was a great trail. I came up from the south in berdoo canyon and met up with Geology Trail in the park. There are a few tough spots south of the loop if you go/come from that way (4 wheel drive is needed). The Geology Trail itself is easy and most vehicles can handle. This is a great trail to cruise the majestic JTNP landscape.

OHV/Off-road drivingGreat!

Nice drive through Joshua Tree NP. Pick up a brochure at the visitor center for descriptive information at the 16 numbered stops on the route. Did this in 2wd. Depending on weather conditions this loop would be suitable for any SUV. Please note that the loop section is one-way, and that the arrows on the map for this route are in the wrong direction.

My first real off-road experience, had a great time! Used a jeep wrangler 2019 in 4H. Super fun! Very bumpy at some points but that was expected! Didn’t get stuck anywhere and traveled from high to low desert and back up. I would definitely do this again.

I had no trouble in a Subaru Outback. Nice way to spend some afternoon hours after a morning hike. Scenic, and not many other cars.

Just got back from there 09/20/2020. Good trail, any 4wd and most 2 Ed will be able to complete the loop. NOT the whole trail, just the loop. The whole trail is highly 4wd recommended and really rocky from what I heard, that is why I stuck to just the loop. Plenty of spots to pull off and have lunch or stretch around. Well traveled so if you do happen to get stuck I’m sure someone will lend a hand. Amazing views and picture opportunities.

Beautiful and safe trail to drive inside of Jousha Tree. I had a stock Jeep renegade and it had no troubles with ground clearance or the sand.

Not a bad drive, some cool scenery. The pamphlet from the visitor center tells you about the rocks and earth as you drive which is kind of interesting. Access to some tougher roads if you want to 4x4.

Eh, fun for 2wd that want to go in a small loop. Most SUVs could do this for a back side view of Jtree

Nice little trip and OHV/ Off Road was very simple and easy, any all wheel drive car can do it . Heck I think a 2 wheel drive car can do it. A lot of wild life, black tail jumbo jack rabbits, miniature chipmunk ground squirrels, Quail , large lizards, small Lizards. Nice easy in and out OHV/ Off Road Loop. Make sure you bring sunblock! No shade at all but hay it’s the desert, What can you expect. Bring lots of water if you want to walk trails along the OHV / Off Road.
