Loop Trail was open on May 31 with one-way directional signs. Take the left trail to go in the correct direction. Today was cloudy, so it was perfect and not too hot. Still wildflowers along the trail.

I took my dog with my on this trail and we were able to jog the entire way. It was beautiful. Narrow paths at some points but not too narrow. Can’t wait to go again!

Friendly rangers, well kept trail all the way through, good markers, lovely stream area, nice bridges, pretty wildflowers and a nice breeze. Great for our 9 1/2 year old shepherd. Would do it again!

After spending a weekend in San Luis Obispo, we were in the mood for a hike that wasn’t too taxing, and we wanted to enjoy the landscape and feel close to nature. This trail is beautiful, well marked and maintained, and we enjoyed hearing the nearby cattle and wild turkeys. I truly enjoyed moving through a landscape I have passed many times on the 101.

A little mud, but not bad. Lots of hikers today and a few bikers. Everyone shared the trail and it was a pleasant experience. The back side of the trail was closed, presumably because of recent rain. But the conditions were great. Lots of wild flowers and scenery. An easier hike and pretty easy bike.

Great elevation changes to warm you up.

Sunny, bring a hat and water, but very comfortable trail; I’d call the shorter loop easy, haven’t done the longer one so can’t rank that. Usually you’ll run into several bikers, runners, hikers, and a family or two. Very fun and casual hike

This moderately trafficked loop trail is well marked and beautiful. Along the trail we saw numerous native birds and wild flowers. Most areas are fully sun exposed, but there are a few shaded areas in the wooded segment of the trail. Although we hiked the looped trail, I do recommend the trail for runners, also. There is a connector option on the trail that cuts through the loop to make it a shorter hike if so desired. I recommend this easy to moderate trail and make sure to bring some water.

Very enjoyable . Great views . Peaceful

Good hike with lots of sun & several shady pockets. Terrain has thin layer of loose dirt & not too rocky, so it won't be too tough on dog paws. Saw several families with young kids too.
