We parked across from little bald hills trail and at the River Trail. Walked the road to Stout Grove and then took the River TrIal back to car. Beautiful hike.

Nice short trail with a spectacular payoff when you get to the end and the Stout Memorial Grove Loop Trail which runs around the grove. There are some great redwood trees on the River Trail, and then Stout Grove itself is simply amazing. Coordinates took me quite close to the trailhead, which is also the trailhead for Little Bald Hills Trail. You can connect to Hiouchi Trail from the Stout Grove Loop and hike to the trailhead, sort of doing the hike in reverse. There is tons of great hiking in this area in addition to the few trails here. This is certainly a hike worth doing.

Another nice trail in Jed Smith. This one is easy and runs in to Stout Grove. No real river views, though. Nice alternative to park and walk in and do Stout Grove. Much easier to park at this TH.
