Nice and close to Santa Monica. Great views looking south down the coast and across to downtown. Not too difficult. Not a lot of cover so be prepared if it’s a warm day. Second half is quite overgrown, especially eastern side of the second loop.

Definitely bring your sense of adventure for the east side of the upper loop. It's overgrown, unmaintained, and quite steep in some parts. However, it's still quite doable and feels like an adventure - just be careful and bring good, sturdy shoes with good grip.

Stunning views of the coast, but the middle two miles of the hike are a bit overgrown and washed out. Wear sunscreen, a mask, sturdy shoes, and you’re golden.

It was somewhat long, but did have scenic views of the city. One thing I didn’t enjoy was how the trail got really narrow and rustic towards the last loop-part of the trail. Would do it again.

Took the route clockwise. We started Taking the loop back on the right or East side but had to turn back as after a little while as it became extremely overgrown. Returned on the same trail we took up instead. Fantastic views of the whole of LA

Great trail for views. Not strenuous but if you go counter clockwise, there’s a bit more of a challenge. Plenty of people out.

This trail is NOT A LOOP!! The description needs to be changed unless they do an overhaul of the trail. You cannot get through the other side. Other than having to turn back, I loved the bushwhacking and the views. And it was cool to see polo practice.

This is an afternoon of total bushwhacking on slippery unmaintained very steep and loose sections of trail, all enjoyed in the blistering heat whilst shrouded in a lingering sense of “who’s idea was this? “ Guaranteed to spark feverish altercation with your unfortunate hiking companion, so hopefully your relationship can withstand the sunburn, scratches and generally torturous conditions.

Stay to the west side trail when heading up and take same trail back. East trail has a lot of over growth and very narrow at times. Also there were pockets of bees so be aware. Otherwise a great hike!
