Pretty much inclined the whole time. Was a tough one for non-hikers. Would recommend doing early morning when it’s cool or late afternoon (before dark). Def need hiking shoes for unstable grounds as it is really rocky. View was nice, but there were bushes blocking some of it. Probably wouldn’t do again.

Went up wrong trail. Not clearly marked. Took us on a sharp incline to pretty much nothing. Went back down. Found the right trail to the stream.

Beautiful trail, however I Counted 8 dog poop bags that people had left on the hike! Please make sure to practice LNT principles!

Excellent, moderate hike with stunning view at the peak. Good shade during second half, fairly crowded but well worth it.

Beautiful views. Great hike. Parking can be an issue. Be prepared to walk uphill on the street before you start the hike. There is one porta potty in a lower parking area. When hiking the trail there is a small triangle sign, to indicate the trail goes left, but there is no marking on the sign. IF you go right, staying on the fire road, it is a steep climb and dead ends at the top. Busy trail, with many people enjoying this hike and view.

Did this one over the weekend and honestly it was such a good hike. Did it with Women Who Hike, and it really was fun. Definitely will drive to Santa Barbara to do it again.

One of the most popular trails in Santa Barbara for a reason. It starts and ends on a fire road, which isn't that scenic, but once you get to the top you'll know how Inspiration Point got its name. The trail gets narrow in some spots, which isn't very fun when there are a gajillion people out. Do yourself a favor and hit this one up on a weekday, if you can. Steady but doable climb to the top.

Shaded, good end view, reminiscent of Yosemite

This is such a great hike! Just walking to the entrance is an incline and gets you in hiking mode! I love the paved half mile or so leading up to the trail head, the second half of the hike is rocky and challenging and suitable for those looking for a challenge but not so hard that it’s not fun. This is a very popular hiking spot and very busy trail so if you prefer a less traveled or quieter hike this is not for you! I was there a few days ago and quite a few of the hikers had loud music which I personally don’t appreciate but hey, to each their own. Challenging hike 2.5 miles up and back, awesome views and shaded spots along the way if you need to take a rest!

This is a great hike to do with family, friends, and dogs! The first half(ish) is on road and then turns into a trail all the way up to the top. Towards the end, there are some steep bits. The views are stunning and is well worth the exercise. TIP: stay to the left when hiking up. It’s easy to make the mistake of going to the right, but it’s very steep and doesn’t lead to the trail. There’s a small, worn, triangle sign that indicates the trail, but the information isn’t on there anymore.
