Trail is beautiful right now with the spring blooms. The meadow after the first rock oasis is unbelievable and I recommend after hitting this part you go back through it to rejoin the main Palm trail. The full loop isn’t as nice and you walk through a wash so the hike isn’t the best.

Hike along Palm Canyon Trail for 2 miles until you come to the dry wash. Continue straight ahead along Indian Potrero Trail. This will take you in a counter-clockwise loop. In about 8/10 mile you'll see a sign for the Stone Pools (to your right). The pools are only a few hundred feet off the main trail and are a pleasant diversion in winter and spring. Shortly after rejoining the trail there is a fairly steep ascent, but it isn't too long. You'll soon come upon an interesting plateau with diverse plant life and rock formations. At the 4.7 mile point you'll start heading back west toward the Trading Post. This is the least interesting part of the loop. It's a downhill wide trail/road that eventually leads to a wash with canyon walls. I really enjoyed this hike. At 9 miles, it's a long hike if you're not experienced. If you're in decent shape it shouldn't be a problem. Just bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and something to snack on.
