Parking Notice: The start of this trail is at a small dirt public turn out that can accommodate up to 4 cars. Do not drive to the end of the road as there is little room to turn around. It is a very short walk up the road to the trailhead.

Tougher end of moderate, for sure. Trail data is incorrect so this stretch was more like nine miles. Some steep parts, some pretty rocky parts. Lots of good moments but not my favorite in Marin.

Steep but fun and interesting. Most of the hike has good shade, so it’s nice on a hot day. A few spots with nice lookouts but mostly in thick, gorgeous woods

As another reviewer mentioned, the first part of this trail is really steep and probably more moderate level.
