Hosp Grove Trail is a 2.5 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Carlsbad, California that offers scenic views and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

January 16, 2021Easy trail with visible trail markings and posts. Follow the trail map and try to avoid the dead ends. Street and busy commercial parking is nearby which makes most of the trail less peaceful than I had hoped but overall the hiking trail is a perfect hour of easy/moderate hiking/workout.

October 25, 2020Playground area was great for kids, but the trail itself was a bit under whelming. Needs clearer trail markers, and also loads of foxtails so be on the look out dog owners.

October 17, 2020September 18, 2020it was good. you can make it a little more challenging by crossing the street and exploring the other side and coming back. we went down to the sidewalk on the way back to the beginning only because we didn't want to back track our steps so much. nice evening walk.
August 30, 2020My husband and I took our two dogs here on an early Sunday morning. There are tons of shade and it's generally easy to navigate the trail. We also enjoyed the elevation and the trees. I would recommend.
