Great trail for the pups on a hot day. Pretty mellow, but crowded.

Nice, easy walk around the lake with plenty of options to go off trail if you are looking for something more adventurous. Backside of lake (from parking lot) has access to great climbing/scrambling)

I love this trail. Not only is it pretty but it’s great for the first day acclimating. Very beautiful

Crystal Clear day, quietly listening to wind and water lapping. Most restful trail, while still getting in some exercise, sunshine, and fresh air!

I didn't really like this loop and probably wouldn't do it again. It's nice the first third of the trail as you walk through the forest by the lake but then it moves away from the lake the rest of the way. You don't see the lake anymore and you have to take the bike path back to the parking lot.

Really nice flat, mostly shaded trail for all ages and abilities. Shared with bikers. Great views of the lake and mountains throughout. Plenty of space to have some privacy down in the lake itself, our dogs loved it!

Easy stroll around the lake. Many many people, but you can find nooks around the lake to take a dip and have some lunch that feel relatively secluded. A huge bonus of almost no mosquitos!

Perfect loop for young kids. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. It is very flat but plenty to enjoy with multiple creeks to pass and as of today still a number of patches of snow to kick around. There is a bridge that is out at the moment but it is still very easy to get across if you walk down closer to the lake first.

Such a beautiful trail, more of a walk than a hike. Anybody could do this trail and it’s breathtaking.

nice hike with plenty of views of the lake and currently in July the south part of the trail has snow packs and a bridge is out. might have a chance at seeing and hearing a few birds.

Friday 7/12/19 Lake level was highest we’ve ever seen, with snow patches all the way down to the water. We’ve hiked and biked this before, wouldn’t bike at this time because there’s just too much snow. Mountain bikers were walking or carrying their bikes in many places. A bridge is out about halfway around. There is tons of snow and a gorgeous cascade that’s never been there before, which made for a lovely view, but a tricky crossing. Had to go down to waters edge and go over a snow bridge. Muddy/mucky in many places, don’t wear your Yeezy’s!!

Hiked Wednesday 7/3/19 and there was still quite a bit of snow, and the road that leads all the way to the trailhead was closed. But we just walked along the road until we saw the lake and then started to cut in. Pretty much made our own trail for over half the hike...climbing over and through patches of compact snow. My 6 and 9 year old loved it! Would have been nice to have hiking boots for more traction, but we were fine in tennis shoes. Totally worth the adventure! Had glimpses of the trail here and there, or we would see a bridge and know we were doing ok lol. You pretty much just go around the lake anyways.

Hiked today 6/26/19 with hiking shoes and no poles. No trail due to snow but just lovely. Beautiful streams emptying into lake. Will hike again when trails visible. Lots of shade. Was a very windy day but we enjoyed it.

June 11, 2019. The lake and trail were still completely covered in snow. This trail map was excellent in helping me walk in the snow and stay on the totally hidden "trail". No footprints to follow, no signs in trees, just my skills and this app! For safety, I wore snow boots with Ice Trekkers and used trekking poles.

A very easy hike with scenic mountain views on sandy underground. Sadly the lake's water level was pretty low.

Great and easy trail all around. Ideal for anyone who wants to see beautiful sights without having to climb. Almost everyone we saw had dogs, and they all had lots of fun swimming in the lake. Found this trail/lake through this app (first time using it!).

Took our dogs and they had a ball splashing in the streams and lake. We enjoyed the walk, too!
