Horseshoe Lake Trail is a 4.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Chester, California that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and camping and is best used from July until October.

Directions from Chester: Drive eastward on Highway 36 to Chester Valley Road. Turn left on this road and travel one mile to Juniper Lake Road. Turn right on Juniper Lake Road and drive northward. The road turns to dirt 7.5 miles before reaching the campground. Pass the campground and continue northward 2 miles to the trailhead by the ranger station.
