A beautiful hike with views all the way up. The trail was well marked and maintained with no obstructions. A cute little pond at the top to sit next to and watch the wildlife before heading on or descending.

A nice short trail to make a day hike out of. Too hot and thorny for me during Summer.

spring is the ultimate time to traverse this trail. Not only will the hills be dressed in wildflowers but the cattle will be roaming and the mighty oak will have it's leaves again. I scheduled this hike because of the 1000 ft elevation gain but found that it wasn't a difficult trail in the least. NOT HARD. What makes this difficult is the creek crossing and full exposure NOT the. elevation gain.

Trail is okay, seemed a lot longer than 3mi and there's a couple of muddy spots along the trail that are unavoidable

Distance and elevation seem to be off a bit, we figure the elevation has an extra zero and the mileage is closer to 8+ miles. We went on a cloudy, misty, sprinkling rain day, really muddy trail, and creek was full to require crossing via the 16 road bridge. Recommend for a spring hike.
