Pretty barren until get to the palms. There is a whole network of trails, but generally plenty of signs pointing you both to the palms and back to the trailhead.
Quick easy loop when you’re short on time. Small bit of elevation reveals some nice views of the mountains and valleys. Parking easy.
This is the only short trail open during the Pandemic. Saw nice palms but with we could see the Visitor Center side
Easy climb along the ridge. Surprised to see the Deset Palms ... would make an another trip when less windy. Rains were about to start and it was time to turn around.
This is not the Hidden Palms Trail, it is part of the Pushawalla Palms Loop. The Hidden Palms Oasis is located to the South of what is shown of this trail. The Pushawalla Loop actually drops down into the Palms at the East end of the ridge and follows the creek North through the Pushawalla Palms and then swings and makes a loop around to the SW. just before you reach the ridge trail again pick up the trail heading West and follow it along the North side of the ridge along the wash. This will bring you back to the junction where the trail started up the ridge, just before you get to the parking lot. This is a lovely introduction to desert hiking. Beautiful views and a hidden oasis to explore as well
A nice morning hike. There really are hidden palms...just keep going. It was fun.
This trail as shown is a bit of a misnomer, as it does not access Hidden Palms, but does give you nice views of Pushwalla Palms. We hiked this in the evening from 3-5 pm, it was cool and the evening light was gorgeous. The trail gives great views of the Little San Bernadinos, Coachella Valley and the San Gabriels. The trail as shown does not access Pushwalla Palms directly, but it is possible to hike down a short steep trail at the end of the loop and wander along the palms for a bit. Trail marked as heavily trafficked but we had the place to ourselves on a Saturday evening
We got off on a right hand trail and it was eventually marked hidden Palms but it just parallel the side of the mountain and was not even showing on AllTrails as being on a trail even though it was well marked.
