I used to love this trail, but now the flatlanders frequent the trail so much that you need an appointment to go on it

This place is beautiful!!! Trails was very easy to follow. The incline at the end got me and my kids tired. Other then that it’s easy.

This is definitely NOT AN EASY TRAIL especially in the heat. The portion near the parking lot has minimal shade and while not steep, has a decent incline. The trail leading to the falls themselves is narrow, rocky, and has many ups and downs.

Haven't been here in years, but I reserved a spot for a few days from now. Since some reviews are asking about it, you can reserve a partial day for $4 or a full day for $8 by going to the placer county government website and scrolling down to the blue icon that says parking reservations. https://www.placer.ca.gov/6106/Hidden-Falls-Regional-Park

Nice, wide trails. Well maintained. This park is heavily trafficked and I suggest getting out there as early as possible. Parking reservations are available online and required.

Beautiful trail. Was lucky to get a parking reservation right before entering. Not a lot of people out on the trails made for a peaceful hike .

Don’t attempt going if you didn’t reserve online. Even though there are cars leaving the parking lot, they won’t make exceptions for entrances.

Right now you need a parking reservation every day of the week because of COVID-19. You normally only need parking on the weekend or holidays so plan accordingly or you will be driving out here for nothing. Park rangers are extremely rude and strict right now.

Very easy trail with a little incline here and there . We stopped by an area near the bridge to play in water and take silly pictures. Very shady trail for the most part. Great starter for kids/teens.

Wide river trail that is very scenic and open. Highly recommended as a nice family walk with or without the dog. Being low in the canyon with the sounds of the rushing water is definitely healing for the soul.

great place ....need to make a reservation to park... there people during the Covid 19 but the parking reservations keep the crowds at bay

This is a great trail for taking children as it is not too steep, not too long, and with some beautiful views. Be sure to take water and snacks to share along the way. if you are bringing your dog be sure to being water and bowl for your four legged friend also. Occassionally there could be a horse sharing the trail.
