Sycamore canyon trailhead up the switchback; make a left onto Skyline drive. I took the Pepper grass trail to Hellman park (downslope). Going back would be a killer but I took the Mariposa trail instead, which is not much of an elevation. Came back to the junction again, decided to try the Rattlesnake trail (a little hilly but not too bad). Return via the switchback and explore the Dark Canyon trail- a death end but lots of shades.
