Camping here was amazing. A chorus of frogs all night long. The trail map is wrong and so is the milage down into the canyon from Campo. It's roughly 4.5 miles one way, 9 miles round trip. I highly recommend taking the bonus hike up to the top of Morena Butte for spectacular views.

hauser canyon is great, theres alot of scenery and a creek that should run all year.if you plan to go down there makes sure you bring lots of water or canteens and keep your eyes open for rattlesnakes on the path.make sure you know where your stepping.oh and bring a camera that works!!!this place is great for overnight camping, very peaceful. me and my buddy have a spot set up perfect for overnight campers anyone is welcome to use it just keep it looking good so others can enjoy it also.the site is 6.1 miles down the main trail and it will be on the left side of the creek under some big trees, pleace take care of it and make memory's.
