The first few miles feature a descent into the canyon on a defined trail out in the open. The way back up is a decent incline in the sun! Trail begins to disappear after you reach the dried creek. Just follow it up, but having a map will prevent you from getting side tracked. Unfortunately this trail gets very overgrown. Lots of poison oak too!!! Once you get yourself into the shaded regions of the hike you will have about a mile and a half left to go. This part is the technical portion. Nothing too scary, but poles are your best friend here. Sadly the waterfall is down to a trickle, but the journey and views were still very worth every bit of the hike. The water pools are very refreshing!

6/11/2020. Heard and saw rattlesnakes. We just came to check it out and didn’t go all the way to the end. There was some running water once you get back there. Not too much shade. Very rocky and overgrown. Definitely not a “walking” trail.

To begin , the all trails app won’t get you to the two tier waterfall , it should take you about 30 minutes after it says your off trail . Just continue up the creek . , This trail is more of an adventure hike , you’re going through bushes , your going through the river zig zagging , going over boulders . It took us exactly 5 hours to get to the water fall and 3.5 hours to get back . Watch out for rattle snakes we encountered two of them on the way .

Decent amount of brush causes you to go a little off trail. Have to deal with a lot of rocks and definitely look out for snakes. Encountered a couple rattlesnakes and one other snake I am unfamiliar with.

Harding Falls Trail was a difficult and overgrown trail, but I definitely need to come back another day! This trail features: Very rocky terrain, bugs, multiple crossing points over the creek, crossing a fallen tree trunk, unclear paths, etc. But there's also small waterfalls and deep pools which look amazing; as well as newts, frogs, and lizards. Waterproof hiking boots would be ideal because you'll probably slip into the water at some point. Went on a Saturday at noon and had to park a mile away from the trail head. Came across very few people along the trail though. We followed the AllTrails map, which doesn't actually make it to the main large waterfall. We didn't make it there either. There was too much tree debris towards the end. Also, the tallest person of our group had a very difficult time walking over/under branches and smaller spaces. Overall I did like the calm of the creek and pools and would like to try this trail to the end next time.

I need to come back and finish this. Finish what I started, in total this hike is 10 miles. I can’t seem to find the time of day to complete it all, there’s waterfalls along the way. Make sure to be prepare for this one.

Harding falls was a unique experience that if you enjoy a combination of bouldering and pushing your body through small opening this is the hike for you. I went during or after rain to catch the amazing waterfall and rivers filled but beware you'll cross some sections with water up to your waist.

Completely exposed, sections have collapsed and SO crowded. Not worth it.

Looks beautiful but couldn’t continue, the river is too wide. Covers the trail at points. I pushed forward through brush, jumped the river 4 times and even boulder around a rock face to try to continue. Will attempt during The summer.
