Grizzly Peak, Tower Trail and Golf Course Trail Loop is a 2.5 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Berkeley, California that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Great trail! Had some up and down elevation that may be challenging for little ones or small dogs. Not very busy. A bit muddy with recent rain.
Great little short loop. Was pretty muddy and picnic areas are currently closed due to covid. Men’s bathroom was open midway through.
Hard to follow this exact path because of limited signage but lots of other cool trails to explore.
Easy, quick, pleasant trail for when you’re short on time. Good for beginners.
The trail is not well marked in a number of key junctures so having the map was extremely helpful. At the camp area you want to head toward the left of the bathroom to pick the trail back up. there is also a small offshoot before the golf course trail hits the road that you are supposed to pick up that is not marked. parts of the trail are still squishy from the rain earlier this week. there are also some rather rocky parts. not too many people out here on a Sunday morning so that was nice. the golf course trail is more of a dirt road than a trail So next time I would probably take the redwood trail back instead.
Beautiful! Made it in to a loop easily. Better than out and back.
Fragrant hike. Perfect to getting back in shape. Moderate elevation to get the heartbeat up but not “too much.” Hiked the first half and jogged the second half. Not well marked, so keep track of your map.
Nice, easy-ish hike with access to parking right after the intersection of Grizzly Peak Blvd and Golf Course Drive. That said, the hike pathway gets real choppy at the Gillespie picnic area and the Laurel picnic area. We lost the trail right after Laurel and eventually stumbled into the golf course and used the golf cart paths to circle back.
Nice trail! Not super well marked so the map on All Trails was very helpful. Wide enough to pass ppl pretty easily!
One of the most fragrant and pleasant trails I've been on. Very pleasant hike.
It would be so nice if cyclists would not ride on trails labeled no bikes.
Dirt parking lot with enough room for about 20ish cars. The evening hike was lovely. Nice rolling hills popping into deeply shaded areas. Full of freshly fallen leaves, making it really feel like fall. This trail had the highest percentage of folks wearing masks of any trail I’ve been on since shelter in place.
Too narrow for social distancing, too buggy, overgrown grass, no views. I do not recommend this trail in COVID times.
