Description
Waypoints (0)

The moderate rating on this trail is based on what a trail goer using mobility equipment like a manual wheelchair, cane, walker, or stroller would experience with the slope and trail surface. This wide, gravel trail is the first section of the trail to Ramona Dam and Ramona Lake. Accessibility: This is the most wheelchair and stroller friendly portion of the Green Valley Truck Trail. The trail surface is compacted dirt under gravel. It is typically at least five feet wide. The surface may be bumpy, uneven, rocky, or have ruts in the dirt section so all-terrain tires on strollers or motorized mobility equipment is recommended. The estimated grade is mostly gentle (5% or less), except for a steep (8% to 12% grade) downhill section in the first quarter mile heading east. Some users may want to continue on this trail past this map but from about 1.4 to 2.4 miles the grade is very steep (over 12%) so assistance may be needed. There are at least 2 designated wheelchair accessible parking spots at the paved trailhead lot.

This particular trail route is dumb since you should do the Creekside Loop - that's the whole point.

This is NOT a stroller friendly trail as it says, way to many rocks! Good for walking, small incline on the way back.

Fairly busy, but lovely trail with nice views. Small elevation gain number was deceptive. My quads feel it; but it’s all love, baby.

Really great moderately strenuous trail. I went the first cool/rainy week of the season and it was glorious.

Started at 5:30am. Lots of parking. Still dark. Fresh cool breeze. Bathrooms available. Some steep hills. Great for beginners or just getting back into the groove. Beautiful views of the lake and mountains. Everyone had a masks on. Encountered cute little bunnies and some songbirds. Would definitely come back again.

Easy hike to start, then once you start climbing the hill it gets tough. Don’t go mid afternoon it’ll be brutal unless your prepped. It’s worth it at the top once you reach the lake
