Great loop. Nice views of the valley and Mt. Diablo. Also fun to have views down on the beautiful houses in the Diablo foothills. My only rub, and it’s minor, is the fact that you have to walk on the street at the end.

I live on Emmons Canyon, so this is my “go to” bike route for a little exercise. Going up the Green Valley trail is easier on a bike than going up Emmons Canyon...the ascent that direction is less arduous/more steady. Great views in many places. Can be muddy in Jan-Mar. You do have to go thru private property at one stretch- two gates mark this and ask you to stay on the trail while within their property.

Enjoyed this hike a lot. A good workout. Scrambled over some rocks at Rock City to try to stay on trail. A litlle strange going through someone's backyard, but a good hike overall.
