The street parking on Grape is amongst very nice large homes. There are many options for routes from Grape Ave. In fact, the entire Crafton Hills' trail system can be accessed from here.

Anywhere convenient near the hill.

From Bryant Street, go North and take a left on Grape Ave. Go West up to the hill and you'll see the trail.

Very good hike, pretty good ups and down. Fairly narrow trail through most of it.

Nice hike as always from Grape Ave to entrance to the Regional Park. Note, there are 3-4 free parking spots right outside the Regional Park Entrance. Note also, you have to pay a reduced entry fee if you enter the park at the entrance. But unlikely have to pay anything if you walk out the park exit at the same place. There is still quite a bit of brush around, meaning not dried out yet for the summer. No major problems with the trails. Equal number of hikers and bikers.

Great trail, notice the lower section has changed. Someone has cut a new trail for mountain bikers, and they cleaned a wide trail. Very much appreciated now that snakes are coming out. The loop is about 4.3 miles.

This trail is a nice trail. It connects to other trails like Zanja. I did encountered a rattle snake on the way which almost got my dog. Just be careful and keep your eyes open and you’ll be fine. My girlfriend did freak out and ran off. I did lose her if anyone finds her please let me know. Thanks

I really loved this hike even tho the paths are pretty skinny for the most part and would like to bring a machete to chop a little bit of the yellow mustard looking weeds from hanging in the path. Perfect steepness for a beautiful hike and good calorie burn. Beautiful wildflowers as well. Saw a few bikes but we were the only hikers. Stopped every 100 ft it seemed, too perfect for pano shots. Also every 100 ft to pick foxtails out of our socks but was worth it lol.

Cool little way to take into the crafton hills you have to walk by a large house where this one creepy dude always storms into his back yard as if it makes a difference in any way as if he actually needs to be threatening lol it’s pretty humorous but it’s kinda annoying when you have kids and they always see some weirdo acting like we’re bad people when he is the one who bought a million dollar house with a trail going through the back yard. Other than that it’s a great scenic walk.

Good mountain bike trail. Pretty easy to follow and it was clear when I went the wrong way so I just had to turn back. Links up at the top of the mountain with a couple other trails headed toward Crafton College but I turned back. Only a couple technical spots depending on which line you take coming down the hill.

We had fun! Dogs, kids, and all. I thought it was more in the moderate side compared to some of the easy ones we have done in this app but it definitely wasn't hard.

The follow applies to a hike one way from Grape Avenue to the back of the Regional Park. It really deserves a 3.5 rating. There are many options for hiking, biking, and running in the Crafton Hills (see "Crafton Hills Trail"). The eastern most end of the "Hills" is Grape Avenue. It does cost money to drive or walk into the Regional Park. However, you can walk out the front of the Park FREE. Best route through the regional park to the park entrance from the Crafton Hills TH is between the middle and lower lake. The distance from the back side of the regional park (where the trail head is) to the front entrance gate of the park adds only about 1/2 mile to the walk. You can park right out the front of the entrance gate, or go just around the corner (east side of entrance) to the community center where there is abundant parking. There is no way to make this walk into a nice loop (however, a biker probably could come up with a nice loop). The scenery is brush, the scentsy Grape Avenue homes, the large reservoir, views of Yucaipa Valley and the distant mountains, Mentone/Mill Creek/Santa Ana river valleys, and "top down" views of the 3 lakes at the park. And then if you walk to the front entrance, you might as well loop around the middle lake especially (birds, fishing, reflections in the water, water slides, paddle boating, snack bar, and beat frisbee golf in the area). This might be the most scenic short walk from Grape Avenue into the Crafton Hills.
