No pictures can really do the Golden Gate Bridge justice. Standing on top and looking down is an immense feeling. Toss something off the side and count the second until it reaches the bay.

Nice walk and of course great views from the GGB of Alcatraz and the Bay. We pushed on to Saulsalito and caught the Ferry back.

Not much of a hike at all but all that running around on the beach will surely tucker you out! Dog friendly, friendly people, incredible views of the Golden Gate bridge. We even saw a school of dolphins swimming by!

Not really a 'hike' per se but should be on your list if you live in or near the Bay Area. I've gotten lucky sometimes and had fewer tourists on the bridge but also been so crowded I could barely manoeuvre through the selfie-taking hoard.

But press on: the crowd thins before the halfway point and it's an absolute dream walk looking out at the Pacific and back at the Bay.

FIVE stars for the history and views from the bridge. I was born nearby at Letterman Army hospital. I did this along with Angel Island one day a few years back with a friend and it was one of my favorite days in life. I also love to be at the helm of my boat on the way out under the Golden Gate Bridge. EPIC

Just walked the Golden Gate Bridge portion then drove to baker beach. Both are good. Crowded on the bridge and windy. Bring a jacket no matter how hot it is.

Great views. Lot of people on the bridge. Fog rolled in on the way back- very cool.

Wonderful walk! It can get windy and cold, so make sure to bring layers. Also, no dogs allowed.

What can you say about a hike across the great bridge over the Pacific? Great views, great walking, great people.

Awesome view of the bridge from the beach, loved the sand ladder up to the road, but walking the bridge is the best part.

On a clear day this is a great hike. They've made things better by making the east side of the bridge for walking only and the west side of the bridge for biking only. With that being said, both sides still get very crowded on nice days. Also be sure to dress for the wind and weather as the wind through the Golden Gate is no joke.

I walked her with a hiking group yesterday but we did not go baker beach. Instead we went going to marin headlands going to kirby cove.

Walked the bridge after doing a short hike near it & the first quarter mile was pretty crowded but as we kept walking there were less people. I greatly enjoyed the view from one side to the other.
