I used to do this trail everyday, it was such a good, quick workout with great views. only con is that the trail can get pretty crowded on the weekends and during the summer

A short but fairly intense trail for a beginner. There are steps for most of the trail but couple of parts are steep. Good for a quick cardio workout.

Lots of stairs! Beautiful views and it wasn’t too busy on a weekday afternoon. Might be easy for an avid hiker but for me it was moderate.

I mean, let’s be real, this isn’t a hike, it’s the path down to the nude beach below. Takes about 10 min to get down from the top (past the signs that read: “Unstable cliffs, stay back” which are covered up by surf stickers). So just follow the crowd down and go to the beach. The climb back up is tough, but if you’re in shape, you can hustle up in <15 min without stopping.

Background: I am in my mid 50s, with lung issues, in the process of recovering from a looong illness, and have recently lost a significant amount of weight with more to lose. Trail experience: We walked along the beach where possible from La Jolla Cove area to Blacks Beach -several miles- then hiked up to the Glider Port. This trail was very steep, had uneven stairs, loose sandy terrain, and with very few handrails. It was really hard for me. But I DID IT! What a feeling of accomplishment! It was moderately busy but people were nice as I had to take many breaks. Thank you to the regulars who shared the trail with me that day in early July 2019. It meant a lot to my journey. Yes, it is a nude beach, but plenty of folks with clothes on too. Enjoy this amazing area and trail! Beautiful.

If you don't mind the nudists, like me, this trail has some gorgeous views. Took a few detours to make it longer. Would definitely come here and bring a bathing suit. The beach itself is not crowded. But I don't mind the nudists. The stairs are super steep. Hence taking a star off. Haha.

Beautiful views, short, rough trail. Went mid-day on a Wed and it was decently busy. Low skill level necessary but trail is uneven throughout. Good quick hike for tourists.
