Drive to the best view in all of Yosemite. This 270-degree view of the Valley, Half Dome, and 3 Falls will amaze you. Glacier Point is a popular stop for many new visitors to Yosemite National Park on their way down to Yosemite Valley. Although it's not much of a hike, the view at the end of the paved walkway will leave you breathless. You will see (left to right) both Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls, Yosemite Valley below, Clouds Rest, Half Dome standing proud, and even Vernal and Nevada Falls. What more could you ask for? Winter In Winter the road to Glacier Point is closed to cars, but strap on a pair of cross country skis or snowshoes and you should be good to go. If you want to stay overnight, reserve a spot in the Glacier Point Ski Hut where there are bunk beds (dormitory style), a wood fire, food, and good company.

Not really a hike, but a walk with such incredible views. The view almost didn't feel real. There wasn't too much parking, we waited maybe 20 mins. to find parking. It was worth it.

My hubby and I did glacier point two years ago, but apparently we missed it! We only walked from the parking lot to the amphitheater for a stunning view of half dome. Fortunately this time the hubs said “let’s follow the signs that say Glacier Point”. 0.2 miles further was nirvana. OMG!!! Breathtaking. I wonder how many people miss it like we did two years ago. Very easy walk on paved trail.

We first went in the afternoon 24th May and it was so gloomy and the half dome was hiding behind the clouds. We decided to come back the following morning and the weather was perfect! Magnificent view!

Honestly one of the most amazing views I have ever seen. Worth the drive - get there early in the day and there’s plenty of parking available!

Trail was very wide and easy but a little crowded. We did the short trail to the point because it started to rain. Views were spectacular. You can see multiple waterfalls, half dome and many snow covered mountain tops. There is good parking and a gift shop snack type lodge near the parking lot. This is a must see trail at Yosemite for all visitors. As another plus this trail is also a dog friendly trail.
