Strenuous with the elevation changes going uphill and downhill. Incredible views of Half Dome. We split the hike up into 2 days, and camped overnight off the trail a bit by Buena Vista Trail before heading to Illilouette Falls and continuing the journey on to Half Dome.

great hike, took around 11h with one hour break at the top of half dome and short breaks along the way. I would recommend taking your harness for the cables up there, since it's pretty steep. The panorama trail is a great alternative to the trail from Yosemite village to Nevada fall, beautiful view of the valley and way fewer people on the way. It doesn't had much, just 4 miles and 1000feets and it's worth it!

If the standard Half Dome hike from the valley floor isn't enough, come try this one out. Less crowds, more macho. I particularly enjoyed all that climbing back to Glacier Point at mile 18. The cucumber I stashed in my car as a victory snack is still the greatest thing I have ever eaten.
