Gilson Gap Loop Trail is a 4.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Salinas, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

that lower lower gibson gap trail is exit only mountain bikes only, if you follow this route you will go on a trail that's not meant for hikers

One of our favorite trails. Outbound is mostly continuously uphill at moderate grade and reverse on return. At the apex of the climb one is rewarded with panoramic views northward looking out at Monterey Bay. Encounters with deer are common, and maybe a bobcat sighting, if you're lucky. Part of the trail traverses pasture land, and the cows may be grazing.
