Loved the trail as the trees engulf you! The hike to the tree is very easy and going through the fallen Sequoia really puts everything in perspective!

You get a nice feeling of being unbelievably dwarfed by these gargantuan trees. Went on the 4th of July - there were quite a few people there but it didn't hinder our hike, as there is a main trail with a bunch of side paths that branch out from the General Grant Loop. And from those side paths there is so much more to see (hollowed out trees that you can walk through, giant rocks that you can climb up from stairs, etc.).

Unbelievably enormous trees. Very crowded, very touristy, but absolutely worth the visit regardless.

Great little hike to stretch your legs before or after the drive down 180 into Kings Canyon. Crowded but enjoyable. Good for young kids and older adults.

Very nice. More than a walk but not a hike.

super easy. not near the crowds of Sherman. there is a downed tree you can walk through. A sign talking about how New Yorkers way back when thought a cut out of one of these gigantic trees was a hoax. Great short walk.

This is a short but heavily trafficked trail in Sequoia NP. It’s a paved path that’s great for handicap, kids, and walkers. At the half way point, you’ll reach the General Grant Tree. It’s beautiful but very busy! You can also connect to this trail from other trails in the park. We connected from the Rimrock Trail. Worth a stop if you’re in Sequoia NP!

This was so much better than the last time I was here. As we were coming out of the park after hiking in the valley, we decided to stop and hike around General Grant. We just started walking around the giant trees and to our surprise there wasn’t many people around which was awesome. The crews at this park are actually getting it ready for winter already in the middle of September. As these gentle giants rising up into the sky they were just awesome.

Magical walk on paved trail through a magnificent grove of Sequoia trees. Not nearly as crowded or noisy as the General Sherman tree walkway, and I thought the General Grant was more majestic! Do not pass this by if you enter through the north entrance of the park- it’s right there!

More of a steep stroll than a hike, but definitely worth the time! Gorgeous views of giant trees! Easily doable with a stroller.

This made for a great family trip. We spent most of a day in the park driving through the trees, stopping at lookout points, having a snowball fight (we found a patch of snow), and hiking. We did this hike with a 7 and 9 year old and had no problems. It was fun for the whole family.

3rd biggest tree by volume and largest Sequoia trunk by diameter. Good enough for me!

Easy trail for kids. We went in the late afternoon; not many other people on the trail and the trees were stunning in the afternoon light.

These trees are so incredibly majestic. I appreciate that the park service has made the trails to these monuments accessible to all. There is no reason to not do this trail while in the area.
