Hike along the historical 1960 Olympics Cross Country Skiing Trail and explore Lily Pond General Creek Trail is a wide, level trail that starts off just behind the General Creek Campground at Sugar Pine State Park. The trail initially follows the historical 1960 Olympics Cross Country Skiing Trail, and eventually becomes more narrow and provides a short final climb towards Lily Pond.

A nice hike for the family. There were great views of the forest and the pond. The downside was that we had to park a little over 1/2 mile from the trail head. That added a bit to our hike and our kids were pretty tired by the end of it. We also encountered a lot of bugs.

Great moderate 2.5-3hr hike, the lake was full and lillies were in bloom! Be sure to go to the very end as there is a beautiful open field of flowers leading to the lake.

Easy loop trail. Wide, flat road. Watch for bears in this area.

This was a nice hike to take in Fall--the leaves were changing and there was a little bit of snow on the ground (enough for me to attempt to make a small snowman), but the area wasn't particularly scenic. I prefer more viewpoints and this hike didn't have many. The lake pond was pretty empty this time of year, but I imaging it would be more full in early summer.
