cows are cool. fully exposed, so hot sun will bake you and rain causes a lot of mud. some nice views
classic east bay cow hills. nice wide trails and very few people (currently more cows than people). beautiful views! I can imagine this getting very muddy after heavy rains, but not too bad yet!
This was a nice trail. Lots of parking, and the trail was decently wide. Not much for shade, lots of cows wandering around, some birds and lizards too. We went clockwise and enjoyed seeing views of Hayward first, and ending with walking through the hills and enjoying the feeling of being away from the city. Only ran into a couple other people (including a group on horseback), which was a plus to spend most of the time without needing to put my mask on. While it is definitely a hill, it wasn't too steep and there were areas that it would flatten out before continuing up/down.
It was a great hiking trail, very well maintained, with visible signs to find your way through. There are cattle roaming around, it was so green this time of the year, with great views of the bay. There was plenty of parking available, with a fee of $5. There are also grills and picnic table available at the park. Highly recommmed it!
A little muddy in the shade but nothing too bad. Had the trail to myself. I’ve never explored the north side but I can do the southern trails in my sleep so this was a nice change of pace. Wouldn’t recommend the day after rain but today was nice and sunny.
Great daily trail. Took my dog and I about and hour to do the whole loop, considering we stopped to take some pictures and enjoy the views. Mostly open plains. if you come during spring everything is very green! It gets dry and yellow during summer time when it's hot. Lots of big and baby moos!
