Great little hike. Most of the hike has a nice wide trail that is well maintained (and part of it paved). The end of the hike was through a residential neighborhood. Nice views of the valley, but nothing amazing. Not too crowded, but passed people every couple of minutes. Saw Mountain bikers, dog walkers, and trail runners in addition to people out for a walk. Great place to get some exercise.

Come here all the time for a little exercise. First quarter of the trail is the hardest, then it’s a nice and easy incline and then descends at a comfortable pace. Nice view at the top and lots of people usually around. Partially paved in the beginning, but mostly a dirt path for the rest of the hike.

Fryman is perfect if you want a nice, easy hike without leaving the city. Unless you arrive very early, the parking lot will be full, but you may be able to find some neighborhood parking off of laurel canyon. The main trail is well maintained, but I recommend taking the narrower footpath about a quarter mile or so from the trailhead. There will be fewer people on this path.

An ok trail, heavily trafficked in the morning. And forget about trying to park in the parking lot!

Pretty simple and easy hike. Just a quick loop. Some nice views. Not too crowded compared to other trails in the area.

First challenge of the hike- parking! It is a small parking lot. Plan to be there early to get a spot; otherwise, you will need to wait for someone to leave. It took us about 5 minutes, so not terrible. The hike starts out steep and then it is all down hill from there. Hubby and I aren't use to hills but we were able to make it. There are two geocaches by the route but you will need to go slightly off trail to get them. Not a bad hike and will definitely do the rest if the trail soon!
