French Meadows Reservoir Campground Area is a 0.9 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Foresthill, California that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and camping and is best used from May until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from : Take Highway 80 to the Foresthill Road, travel 17 miles east to Foresthill. Turn right on Mosquito Ridge Road and travel 34 miles east to the French Meadow Reservoir, the French Meadows Campground is on the south shore.

long drive from Sacto but worth it. Camped at campground at end of October . Its closed but call game warden. Bear raided our camp while we were eating.. YIKES
