Fremont Ridge Trail is a 4.6 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Santa Barbara, California that offers scenic views. The trail is rated as moderate and primarily used for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking.
At the top, there is a large turnout near the locked gate at the top of the road. It is the first road west of the Painted Cave junction. At the bottom, there is parking near Fremont Campground. The trail is unmarked near site 12 or can be accessed via unmarked trails that circle the campground. Follow it west until behind houses at the Fremont Tract, then climb to two water towers and keep on going up.
