Awesome trail. If you follow the AllTrails route, the first two miles are a steep incline followed by a more gradual decline. I might swap directions next time and take the gradual incline. Super pretty views at the top.

This is a trail with great scenery, there is quite a bit of elevation. Ran across a few snakes and no shade. However, I enjoyed it and would recommend for hiking, biking, and horseback riding!

This is one of my favorite training hikes, especially in spring. It's a straight forward, simple workout. The rolling hills are beautiful and the trail is easy to find and follow. Bathroom at the parking lot and lots of ways to modify this hike to extend it.

A moderate elevation high that steady levels off. You get some views of San Benancio (sic?) and the Salinas Valley. After the peak and the view, the trail is kind of boring especially when walking back to the parking lot along the trail behind the Toro houses.

Trail is easy to follow, but beware there is no shade. This is a hike I like to do on a cold day. On my walk in December I saw several coyotes.

I give this trail 5 stars because it's easy to find with good parking, restrooms and information stations. I saw people running and bicycling or walking the hills with plenty of room for people of any fitness level. The trails are actually gravel roads with foot paths connecting them, but it is all well marked and maintained. Some paths are flat and easy but there are also steeper hills if you chose a greater challenge. There are many miles to explore here with trails splitting in different directions but nothing so daunting or confusing that anyone could get seriously lost. It's a great place for regular exercise that anyone visiting the area can easily find and enjoy with enough space to keep you exploring for several days.
