Fort Ord-Laguna Seca Trail is a 9.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Salinas, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
I give this trail 5 stars because it's easy to find with good parking, restrooms and information stations. I saw people running and bicycling or walking the hills with plenty of room for people of any fitness level. The trails are actually gravel roads with foot paths connecting them, but it is all well marked and maintained. Some paths are flat and easy but there are also steeper hills if you chose a greater challenge. There are many miles to explore here with trails splitting in different directions but nothing so daunting or confusing that anyone could get seriously lost. It's a great place for regular exercise that anyone visiting the area can easily find and enjoy with enough space to keep you exploring for several days.
