Beautiful day - moderate foot traffic, easy parking. Little steep at first but overall pretty doable.
Not the best views, very steep, hard to find main trail from parking lot. Great workout though!
Trail is in good shape despite the recent rains. Good progress on brush clearing for fire suppression.
Use trail app to find the trail in the beginning! Many inclines. Main top part is overgrown but beautiful. Go on a nice day! Mostly shade! Good for dogs!
Pretty steep at points, unfortunately by the time we summitted it was completely overcast so we weren’t able to see the view. Although I bet it’s beautiful on a clear day.
Nice uphill! Shady, beautiful views when you can get a peek through the trees. I think dogs are allowed too.
If you like forest trails, you’ll like this one. It definitely was very windy as you’re wrapping around the mountain. To me it was pretty steep, but to my husband, he called it a “gradual incline” with no breaks. Haha. It’s not very scenic, as the trees do cover most of the view, but I loved looking around the forested areas, so I very much enjoyed it. Lastly, I know the app says moderate, but I felt like that was definitely hard and not moderate. Bring water and enjoy!!
First Up is a kicker, but then the trail was a beauty - enjoyed
Good uphill push to the top then the long descent via Hilltop. Lovely lunch benches! I am glad I had my sticks for the steeper parts, but I never felt worn down.
Any easy hike overall with a wide trail. Recommend good tread on shoes and/or hiking poles for a few of the steep portions.
It was a great trail right outside of Healdsburg...perfect for tiring dogs out before wine tasting. The best part was the shade...I wish every trail has that tree cover.
Great trail! This is a pretty steep trail to start, but the views are nice through the trees and there is a lot of shade. It’s a bit buggy in one section. Stay on the trail, there is a lot of poison oak off to the sides. On the loop portion of the trail, there is a nice bench with a view.
