Welcome to one of the oldest, continually used trails in western Shasta County! Take this short trail to explore some of the shoreline of Keswick Reservoir or as means to connect to the Sacramento River Rail Trail. Great for fishing and wildlife viewing.

I collected 2 gallons of blackberries here. A little overgrown, but pretty views of the river and a nice walk.

Narrow, beautiful trail, full of discoveries. A bit overgrown - if your skin is sensitive you might want to wear long pants. Not a good choice for trail running, as there are many rocks jutting up from the path, and it is also quite windy. Entrance to the trail is just to the left of the road at the dam, coming from the parking lot.

Nice little jaunt. Pretty short. The divided trail does give the option to switch things up on the way back, although I opted to make it a loop by taking the Shasta Rail Trail back to the Keswick Dam parking lot. Great view of Lassen and the eastern horizon from just past where the Fisherman's Trail connects to SRT toward the south.

Great hike! 60 degrees, sunshine on about 1/2 the trail. Narrow trail but beautiful. Easy ups and downs and one more substantial hill. Lots of little waterfalls along the way but it's this has been a rainy winter (2016-2017).
