Awesome chill trail. Plenty of parking at the trail head and clean restrooms at the top by the observatory.

So I went up the West trail to observatory, down the East, then decided to try the steep, no name trail that ends at the bench, not a good idea on such a hot day! Good work out!

Trail was pretty- steep incline but worth the views! Tons of people not wearing masks at the top, but employees did try to enforce it. Fun one!

The first part of the trail is nice and woodsy with a little creek that runs down the trail. It leads to more trails where you can hike up to the observatory. The hike up to the observatory has no shade but I took my two kids and we did it no problem.

AMAZING VIEWS!! I absolutely love this trail. There are so many little trails that go off the main one but eventually lead you back to the main one. There is no shade but I do recommend going past 4pm it early in the morning to avoid hot weather! We took small trials to explore more and see different views of LA and the Hollywood sign! I will be coming back!

HikingGreat!

Very nice walk through the forest in the beginning, then a steep climb for an excellent workout in the latter half of the way up. Fairly crowded but safe enough (in terms of social distancing / covid concerns). Side note: Restrooms outside Griffith Observatory are very clean and well maintained.

Pretty nice trail. The first section is wooded and provides nice shade. There is a small creek. The shade opens up into a sandy trail like many of the other Griffith paths. Not too difficult and provides a quick way to reach the observatory with good views of the Hollywood sign. I was lucky to get street parking very easily.

This is a great short hike. The way up is fairly steep so it's an effective workout that rewards you with stellar views of the city while taking you all the way up to the Griffith Observatory for a little rest before going back down. Trail is dusty but wide and provides very little shade. Will be doing this one again!

It’s uphill the whole first half but it’s a nice short workout. Lots of side trails to do as well if you want to make it longer. Very dusty.

The star is an absolutely beautiful hike and I found street parking very easily. The very first part is almost like a little man-made jungle. Absolutely gorgeous. Then, the rest of the hike is no joke. It is a very wide flat path basically straight incline up to the observatory.
