This loop starts out alongside the creek, and there are some ideal places here to stop and let the kids play a while. There's even a small waterfall for some extra excitement. The trail then leads up to Ewing Hill with a rewarding view, and then through Elephant Mountain (mostly thickets and bushes but still enjoyable) and back down to Hidden Villa.

Walked this one in late May and the creek was quite full (it was a rainy winter). The second part through Elephant mountain is definitely less interesting.
